Psalm 111: the psalm of love
- Praise the Lord. I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart, in the council of the upright and in the congregation.
- Great are the works of the Lord, and to be studied by all who delight in them.
- Glory and majesty are in his work; and his righteousness endures forever.
- He has made his wonders memorable; compassionate and merciful is the Lord.
- He gives food to those who fear him; he always remembers his covenant.
- He showed his people the power of his works, giving them the inheritance of the nations.
- The works of his hands are truth and righteousness; faithful are all his precepts;
- Firm are they for ever and ever; they are done in truth and uprightness.
- He has sent his people redemption; he has commanded his covenant forever; holy and tremendous is his name.
- The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who keep his precepts have good understanding; his praise endures forever.
